All files in locale are read not only those ending with .conf

When I was testing the it-utf8.conf in Xiphos and Bibletime. I couldn't read Exode. When I tried to click on Exode I was moved in Esdras. First I guess an error in the conf file. I checked it, but no errors. Then I remove the conf file but the books were still in Italian and Exode jump to Esdras. Then I discovered that all the files were read in the local folder. I had a it-utf8.conf_sauv file in the folder locales and it was read as a conf file. When I first delete this file_sauv the book were again in english, and when I copied again the it locale in this folder, I could read Exode.
