Description
This issue relates to how SWORD handles GlobalOptionFilter=OSISXlit
I have observed that when toggling Transliterated Forms,
- for a module made using imp2vs, the xlit data is displayed for a preverse title
- for a module made using osis2mod, the xlit data is not displayed for a title in a preverse div element.
Here's an example of IMP source code for such a module:
$$$Matthew 1:1 <title subType="x-preverse"><w xlit="Seq:ayadolvi">ᎠᏯᏙᎸᎢ</w> 1</title> <w xlit="Seq:hia">ᎯᎠ</w> <w xlit="Seq:goweli">ᎪᏪᎵ</w> <w xlit="Seq:kanoheha">ᎧᏃᎮᎭ</w> <w xlit="Seq:tsunetlvtanvsv">ᏧᏁᏢᏔᏅᏒ</w> <w xlit="Seq:tsisa">ᏥᏌ</w> <w xlit="Seq:galonedv">ᎦᎶᏁᏛ</w>, <w xlit="Seq:dewi">ᏕᏫ</w> <w xlit="Seq:uwetsi">ᎤᏪᏥ</w>, <w xlit="Seq:equahami">ᎡᏆᎭᎻ</w> <w xlit="Seq:uwetsi">ᎤᏪᏥ</w>.
With this module and with the filter option ticked, Xiphos can display the chapter label title as
ᎠᏯᏙᎸᎢ ayadolvi 1
Here's an example of OSIS source code for such a module:
<chapter sID="Matt.1" osisID="Matt.1"/> <title type="x-chapterLabel"><w xlit="Seq:ayadolvi">ᎠᏯᏙᎸᎢ</w> 1</title> <verse sID="Matt.1.1" osisID="Matt.1.1"/><w xlit="Seq:hia">ᎯᎠ</w> <w xlit="Seq:goweli">ᎪᏪᎵ</w> <w xlit="Seq:kanoheha">ᎧᏃᎮᎭ</w> <w xlit="Seq:tsunetlvtanvsv">ᏧᏁᏢᏔᏅᏒ</w> <w xlit="Seq:tsisa">ᏥᏌ</w> <w xlit="Seq:galonedv">ᎦᎶᏁᏛ</w>, <w xlit="Seq:dewi">ᏕᏫ</w> <w xlit="Seq:uwetsi">ᎤᏪᏥ</w>, <w xlit="Seq:equahami">ᎡᏆᎭᎻ</w> <w xlit="Seq:uwetsi">ᎤᏪᏥ</w>. <verse eID="Matt.1.1"/>
With this module and with the filter option ticked, Xiphos only displays the chapter label title as
ᎠᏯᏙᎸᎢ 1
i.e. Transliterated forms are not displayed in the chapter label title even when they are displayed in verse text.
Xiphos just displays what SWORD provides, so I expect this is a hitherto unreported bug in the API.
The module is an eXperimental build of the
Cherokee New Testament (1860) with Sequoyah transliteration.
I am working towards submitting this to the modules team.
Meanwhile, I can readily supply copies of both builds for anyone investigating this issue.
